Intro to Hand Embroidery for Art (Copy)

Mondays 1:00PM - 4:00PM April 13- May 18th

Explore the possibilities of hand embroidery for art and creative self-expression. Learn about embroidery for fine art applications and make an original work of your choice. Beginner and experienced stitchers are encouraged to attend. Learn basic stitches, designing, sketching, and tracing designs onto fabric, and how to block and frame your finished piece.

Student Supply List: 

Supplies for day 1: 

  • Embroidery hoop – 8” preferred  

  • Needles Large eye “tapestry or embroidery” 

  • Thread snips or scissors 

  • Needle Threader (optional) 

  • Frixon erasable pens 

Final Project:

  • Threads for final project , fabric, frame for framing method of choice
